Improving our grassroots understanding of and engagement with science. Bringing it down from the ivory tower—experts at the top handing down recommendations—to understanding and experiencing for ourselves how the process of scientific investigation works. From experimentation, theorizing and presenting information, to discussion and review, to acceptance or refutation of results, to revisiting past results and reevaluating them, and letting go of older theories when new evidence contradicts or nuances them.
Science feels its way forward, one hesitant step at a time, and backtracks almost as often. Eventually, that awkward but beautiful two-step leads us to better ground.1
